The Great Commission: Strategic Missions
Throughout the history of the Church, the strategy of missions has looked different in each generation and culture, but the call has never changed:And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
- Acts 1:8 NLTThe Great Commission refers to the final instructions given by Jesus Christ to His disciples before ascending into heaven. The purpose of The Great Commission is to encourage and empower believers to go out into the world, share the good news of salvation, and make disciples of all nations. So, the question to us today is, what does this call look like for the Church in light of the current environment and culture?Special guest Fred Markert joins the broadcast for a meaningful conversation about strategic missions, specifically how we can effectively partner with the Spirit of God in fulfilling The Great Commission in our lifetime. Fred has been a missionary with YWAM for 48 years and is currently the Director of YWAM Ascend. He is also a Missiologist and a Futurist with a clear global view of what is happening in the Kingdom. This is a conversation you do not want to miss.
